TRANSPARENCY

Where is it made?

Our rattles, teethers, pacifier clips and lovies are all lovingly handmade in Ontario, Canada by a small team. Our designs are safety tested and adhere to US, Canadian, European and Australian safety standards.

Where is your wood made?

Our maple wood rings are made in our woodshop in Ontario, Canada. Each ring is designed, cut, sanded and finished by us. We source our Maple wood from a small mill in Ontario – it is beautiful, premium Maple. Oftentimes we can even tell you how old maple is that we are using, for example, our last batch of rings were made from 50 year old hard maple.

Where is your silicone made?

All of our silicone comes from one silicone manufacturer based in China. Please note that all silicone beads are manufactured in China, there are no North American silicone manufacturers, only suppliers. Suppliers are still getting their silicone products from China. This is an important distinction that we’ve seen misrepresented on some sites.

We use one silicone manufacturer that we’ve worked with for 5 years – this company has been manufacturing platinum silicone for 15 years. It is platinum grade silicone, food grade and made specifically for teething babies which means that it is also FDA, CPSIA and CPSC compliant and it has been independently tested to be non-toxic and free of : BPA, lead, PVC, mercury, metals, phthalates and cadmium. The company we use also practices the BSCI system (Business Social Compliance Initiative) which centres around ethical business behaviour, like fair remuneration, occupational health and safety, absolutely no child labour, decent working hours, no bonded labour and no discrimination. This business also works with a lot of major corporations.

We’ve done our research, so that you can trust in the products that we are making for you.

CARE

How do I care for my rattle?

All of our rattles contain hard, white maple beads and wood rings. This type of wood is naturally antimicrobial and so is silicone!  You can spot clean with a damp cloth and a touch of soap, if required, but use sparingly. The wood may feel dry to touch where it has been wet, this can be fixed by treating the wood with some food grade oil – we recommend a coconut or beeswax.

Wood does not respond well to extreme changes in temperature or water, so there are a couple things that you shouldn’t do with wood:

Do not submerge or soak in water or let it stay wet for a long period of time.

Do not put our rattles in the freezer or fridge

Do not put our rattles in the dishwasher or sanitizer

How do I care for my pacikeeper (pacifier clip)?

Our pacikeepers that are 100% silicone with a stainless clip are made to be easy to clean. You can submerge these in water and lay flat to dry. Silicone is antimicrobial and warm, soapy water will sufficiently clean our products.

Our pacikeepers with wood are spot clean only with a damp cloth. These shouldn’t be submerged in water because it could affect the integrity of the wood. You can treat the wood beads with food grade oil – we recommend a coconut or beeswax oil, if they feel dry.

Do not sterilize, boil or microwave our clips.

We recommended replacing our pacifier clips every 3-4 months due to wear and tear.

How do I care for my teether?

Our 100% silicone teethers are easy to clean. You can submerge these in water and lay flat to dry, or place them in the top rack of your dishwasher. They are also freezer and fridge safe if you want to use them as a cooling teether on those sore gums.

We provide a one month warranty from time of purchase, if the items are defective. We do not provide a warranty on wear and tear or misuse of the product. Please follow the care and cleaning instructions that come with your product. Our warranty does not apply if the product care instructions were not followed.

SAFETY

Are your products safe?

Safety is our number one priority and we make our products to meet US, Canadian, European and Australian standards. Our teethers go through toy safety testing conducted by an accredited materials testing lab in Canada to adhere to CPSIA and CCPSA toy standards. They are torqued, pulled and drop tested to ensure they are safe for regular use.

Our pacifier clips are not toys, but we have tested them against the toy standards as well as adhering to BS EN 12586:2007 + A2:2011, a British adaptation of a European standard for soother holders. This means that we don’t make clips any longer than 8.5”. Our mini clips are approx. 5.5” and our regular clips are between 7.5”-8.5”.

We also test our products to be non-toxic and free of : BPA, lead, PVC, mercury, metals, phthalates and cadmium.

Is it possible for the beads to come off?

No, our products are all secured with concealed knots that have been safety tested. If you wanted to take the beads off, you would have to intentionally disassemble our pacifier clip or cut into our products with a sharp object.

Why are your stainless steel clips so special?

We tried 20+ clips on the market before we finally designed our own, custom clip.

  1. Traditional metal clips can rust over time and we didn’t like the idea that a child may touch that rust and get it in their mouths. So we chose stainless steel because it’s durable and rust resistant.
  2. Our design has a thicker grip with a plastic insert to protect fabric. We designed it to have a tough grip so that little hands wouldn’t be able to easily pull it off their clothes.
  3. Our clip has thicker/longer tabs securing the piece together, so that it can’t break apart with normal use. We found most of the clips we tried before designing our own, were a little too easy for us to disassemble.

How do I use my pacifier clip?

Pacifier clips are not toys and the end should always be clipped to a child's clothing prior to use, with the clip being positioned away from the face. Inspect the product before every use and discard at the first sign of damage

I am an influencer and I would like to work with you, who should I contact?

We are always looking to partner with individuals that appreciate our products and our values. Please send us an email and include a few photographs, social media details and why you are interested in working with us.
